I am a self-taught, hobbyist photographer that specializes in editorial type portraits.  I been drawn to cameras since childhood, making short films and home videos.  At 8, I bought my first Canon camcorder.
I also loved sketching faces, replicating images with extreme detail.  But I grew impatient with drawing and found photography an easier way to capture people.  That sparked my photography journey in 2008.
I captured my friends authentically, whether they were aspiring artists or just everyday people.  But after seven years, I lost my passion and stepped away from the camera.
After an eight-year break—during which I worked as a police officer in a big city—I returned to photography with renewed passion.  Those years were dark yet transformative, shaping how I see and connect with people.  Though I wasn’t taking photos, I was still seeing beauty in all people and situations.
I hope my images  inspire you to see the Creator and not just the creation. He is the ultimate artist and I am just capturing what he’s made.
